Southern Foam Nest Frog

There is a foam nest frog sleeping in my grandparents’ window. It has been hibernating there all winter. Foam frogs are arboreal, which means they live in trees. When the sun shines on them, they hide their legs under their body to prevent desiccation. Their skin also changes to white to reflect the sun off their skin to stop drying up. The males and females rub their legs together to make a foam nest. The females lay 1200 eggs in the foam nest. In 6 days the baby tadpoles will drop into the water below. That is,  if the monkeys don't eat them first!
